Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known for playing detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered an Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a housewife. Her childhood was spent in a family with four other brothers. Though she had a dream of becoming journalist, it wasn't until high school that Delaney began to model. After moving away from New York City and gaining an experience working with commercials in New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters.
